This is going to be short but sweet. I have to thank Rob sheffield from Rolling Stone Magazine. He heard my new syndicated radio show “Old School” and did up a bit of a review. Here’s that review for you to peek at,
"Old School is a fresh nationally syndicated rock and roll radio show
spanning out music from the 60s to the 90's. Old School's host Bryan Cox
uses a unique strategy of grabbing the attention of his listeners. Cox is
like your close friend who tell important truths. Good buddies who get you smiling again. “If as many rock shows played with the honesty and passion of Bryan Cox, this would be a different world indeed.” - ROLLING STONE, ROB SHEFFIELD
Also the show has now been picked up by over 70 stations and is played across the US and Canada. Let me tell you I couldn’t be happier.
Last week, I was in the Chicago area taking photos of a stage adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. The play is put on by the in Evanston, and the visuals are simply breathtaking.
You see, all the actors in the play are acrobats, and there are some truly stunning feats of athleticism on display during the show. I suppose the best description I have is that it's like Cirque du Soleil, only it has a plot that I could actually understand.
Anyway, this week's Photo of the Day series is returning, and since I'm such a big fan of the photos I got out of this shoot, each image will be from the play.
Mindy McCready is in the news because of her arrest and she is becoming most popular search on the internet.
Neil Diamond is popular because he was mentor last night in American Idol and coming back to limelight as he is going on a tour again. Surely he is not popular in my age group but I like his songs.
Going back to popular celebs/socialites they all are down like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian. Nothing happening in their life as such.
CSI star Gary Dourdan was arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine and ecstasy and prescription drugs in Palm Springs Monday.
An officer found the actor, 41, asleep in his car, parked on the wrong side of the street, at 5:12 a.m.
The officer described Dourdan as "disoriented and possibly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs," according to a statement by the Palm Springs Police Department.
"The officer subsequently located suspected cocaine, heroin, ecstacy, miscellaneous prescription drugs, and paraphernalia," the statement continued.
Dear Gary,
Sometimes we forget that being an actor essential means that you can look cool on camera, memorize your lines and take direction. And, you can afford the drug smorgasboard. Hope you turn it around.
Oh well, at least he's not 15 like Miley Cyrus.
Believe me...If I had his money...I sure wouldn't be druggin' it up.
Have I mentioned before that Will Arnett and Amy Poehler are my very favorite celebrity couple? Well, if not, then I'll say it now. WILL ARNETT AND AMY POEHLER ARE MY FAVORITE CELEBRITY COUPLE. There, I said it. That's why I was thrilled to read that SNL funny lady Amy Poehler is with child. Oddly enough, announcing it while her film Baby Mama is number one at the box office (despite its not-great reviews). If that baby doesn't end up being funny at all, something went wrong.
In less good news, Gary Dourdan of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is under investigation himself. According to , the actor has been arrested suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine, Ecstasy and prescription drugs. (I didn't know possessing prescription drugs was a crime, but okay.) Dourdan recently announced he would be leaving CSI.
(Seems that the actors of the original crime investigation series are dropping like flies. I stopped caring about the show a long time ago. And after Gary leaves, I won't even have a reason to watch it.)
I enjoyed Robin Williams' appearance on Law & Order: SVU last night. He was scary. Since the end was kind of a cliffhanger, I'd love to see him make another appearance. It's cool when a comedian can play serious too... although it's rare. (Don't think I'm encouraging funny people to go try dramatic acting. DON'T DO IT.)
Last night's results show of Dancing With The Stars saw actress Shannon Elizabeth and her boyfriend lover stud muffin partner Derek Hough eliminated from the competition. I did not expect that. She seemed like such a sweetheart and I was looking forward to seeing her steamy relationship with Derek progress on screen. Poo poo. Next week is Dancing 100th episode, so that should be good.
Farts will always be funny! Jason Taylor is one of those hotties though that you never envision breaking wind but here goes to show he is just a normal guy!
(This post is in response to comments left me on )
: Who is on your List? You Know the one!
oOoOo, how many do I get to pick? ;) I'll go with 10, in no particular order, except the order that I thought of them (which doesn't necessarily mean that people higher up are the ones I think are hotter!):
1.
Channing Tatum. I fell in love with him in Step Up - a man THAT hot and a great dancer?? Who would say no??? Oh, yum.
2.
Josh Hartnett. Loved him since I saw The Faculty (shitty movie, but he was so hot I didn't care. LoL)
3.
Clive Owen. Just look at him!
4. and 5.
George Clooney and Brad Pitt (no list is complete without Brad Pitt...yum!)
6.
Leonardo diCaprio - I never liked him until I saw Blood Diamond, but he is a seriously good actor and talent turns me on!!
7.
Freddie Ljungberg, footballer. He totally looks like my ex (especially in ), who was a part-time model while we were at uni together (SO HOT).
8.
McDreamy (aka Patrick Dempsey) - the nickname says it all!
9.
James Marsden - classically handsome, yum. Plus he was so cute in 27 Dresses, and totally hilarious in Enchanted. Who knew he could sing?? He can serenade me anytime ;) (Is it a coincidence that both him and Patrick Dempsey were in Enchanted, one of my fave movies ever??)
10. And last, but not least:
Jake Ryan from Sixteen Candles. (Back in the 80's - no idea what he looks like now. haha) So cute!! :)
