Kamal Nath on India’s Century

November 30th, 2007 by admin

India's trade minister has authored a new book titled "India's Century : The Age of Entrepreneurship in the World's Biggest Democracy". A Govt of India press release informs:

...the book presents an account of India's emergence, from the backwater of global economy to its frontline, generating aspirations for the future based on the recent outstanding achievements. The book explores and goes on to unwind the secret of India's present day journey of transformation in to a global economy. The book goes on to explain on how an economic engagement by the leading nations of the world with India can be profitable for everybody in the coming years.
The book has gone beyond the 'flat world' view and explore his people's unique can-do attitude and the entrepreneurial spirit that, in combination with economic liberalism, has put the economy on the fast track. The book, published by McGraw-Hill of New York, is a first hand account of Shri Kamal Nath's ideas, initiatives and his successfully taking the Indian businesses on to the global platform while at the same time, laying a kind of a roadmap for the Indian entrepreneurs to benefit from emerging trade opportunities.

This title is sure to sell a good number of copies, given that many around the world would want to understand Nath's worldview. India through Kamal Nath is playing a pivotal role in the ongoing Doha talks. Besides, India is being courted by many as a potential free trade agreement partner.

Shooter & Drea’s Baby

November 30th, 2007 by admin

dreashoot1.jpg

Drea de Matteo and her boyfriend, Shooter Jennings, had a baby girl last night reports E!'s Planet Gossip. Drea is the chick from the Sopranos and Joey.

Those crazy hippies named their baby Alabama Gypsy Rose. They forgot the "Lee" part.

Let's see with that name she can either be a stripper at a roadside club in Oklahoma, a failed folk singer or a chain-smoking cocktail waitress at Waffle House. Basically, she's going to be hot.

thanks dlisted!

If I ever have twins, and they turn out retarded, I'm going to name them Alabama and Mississippi.

I can say this, bitches, as I'm a Southerner. :)

-------------------------------------------

I think you could just name one West and the other Virgina and you would be fine.

Is Helen Chamberlain Every Mans Ideal Woman?

November 30th, 2007 by admin

Helen Cahmberlain - Every Mans Ideal Woman and Poker OpponentHelen Chamberlain has go to be many a man's ideal woman! A drop dead gorgeous football loving poker ace with skills that led to her winning $400,000 in the Ladbrokes Poker Millions tournament! More recently she has been expertly presenting the all new Sky Poker channel.

It was by chance that Helen discovered her skill for poker. In an interview with www.femalefirst.co.uk she explained how, in the Poker Millions tournament, she relied upon gut instinct and this lead to her winning four times in a row. She acknowledges that she is by no means a master of the game but has learned a lot more since playing in the tournament.

In the interview Helen goes on to provide a few pearls of poker wisdom. She points out that her style is not to be patient, as many poker players will advise. If she likes the look of a hand she will gamble it and if her impetuous approach leads to her going out of the tournament early she is quite philosophical about it. In the wise words of Hells Bells, 'thats the way it goes'.

So she knows football, plays a mean game of poker and can be something of a philosopher. What's more, she is reputed to like a good night out and is indisputably one of the horniest TV presenters ever!

If you are one of the millions who enjoy playing online poker then you must claim your poker rakeback. For example, Full Tilt Poker are currently offering 27% rakeback with a sign up bonus and the chance to win a share of $30,000. If you're an online gambler like Helen Chamberlain then make certain you don't miss out and claim your poker rakeback today!

Celebrity Gallery Updates - Weekly Digest - 24-30th November 2007

November 30th, 2007 by admin

Thursday, 29th November 2007

Today is ten years since your hosts officially became a couple. Before we celebrate with spaghetti bolognese and raspberry trifle, what better way to mark the occasion than with a selection of gallery updates?!

Added a new gallery for Reese Witherspoon plus a dedicated page for promotional material from Legally Blonde.

Added two new sets of pictures to the Ashley Tisdale gallery. Firstly, shots from her recent appearance on TRL in America. Secondly, a selection of pictures from her performance at Christmas In Rockefeller Center last night. It's surely the greatest Christmas switch-on since a large man from the Penarth Round Table jumped onto the back of a Bedford flatbed truck and paraded around the rain-soaked town centre streets in 1985.

Added performance shots from last week's American Music Awards to the Rihanna gallery. We're still undecided on our favourite part of the show, but it's either Rihanna's magnificent backside or the surprise appearance of Chaka Demus & Pliers doing a bit of Murder She Wrote during Alicia Keys' set. They haven't been seen since that reggae-obsessed summer of 1993!

Added 2008 calendar pictures to the Stacy Ferguson and Keeley Hazell galleries.

Added 100 promotional shots and screen captures to Jessica Alba's Dark Angel page.

Added promotional shots from new movie Awake to the Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba galleries.

Our other favourite Hayden next. Added a fantastic GQ photoshoot to the Hayden Panettiere gallery, plus some more pictures from last week's Victoria's Secret event.

Added pictures from the aforementioned event to the Eva Longoria Parker page. Just wondering if it would have actually been quicker to type "Victoria's Secret" again instead of "aforementioned." Oh well...

Showing impeccable timing as always, we've added some great Gemma Atkinson boob shots from last week's Nuts magazine just as she's been voted out of the celebrity jungle.

Added a high quality photoshoot to the Catherine Zeta-Jones page.

Added a lovely new-ish photoshoot to the Avril Lavigne gallery. We love that pink streak in her hair more and more each day...

Monday, 26th November 2007

Added new galleries for Anneliese Van Der Pol, Brenda Song, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Mary-Kate & Ashley, Michelle Pfeiffer, Monique Coleman, Olesya Rulin, Raven-Symone and Zac Efron.

Added more High School Musical promotional shots to the dedicated pages on the Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron galleries. High School Musical pictures have also been included on the main pages for Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman and Olesya Rulin.

Added dedicated pages for screen captures from A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes by the Disney Channel Circle Of Stars to the Aly Michalka, Anneliese Van Der Pol, Ashley Tisdale, Brenda Song and Raven-Symone galleries.

Added dedicated pages for screen captures from Be Good To Me and Kiss The Girl to the Ashley Tisdale gallery.

Added dedicated pages for The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody to the Ashley Tisdale and Brenda Song galleries.

Added pictures from last week's Macy's Thanksgiving Parade to the - guess who? - Ashley Tisdale gallery!

Added pictures from the launch of the High School Musical 2 - Extended Edition DVD to the Vanessa Hudgens page.

Added an early photoshoot to the Marilyn Monroe gallery.

Added a high quality photoshoot to the Beyonce Knowles gallery.

Added dedicated pages for Hairspray to the Amanda Bynes and Zac Efron galleries. Also added a couple of high quality shots from the film to the Queen Latifah gallery.

Added a dedicated page for The Secret Diary Of A Call Girl to the Billie Piper gallery.

Updated the Heroes pages for Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia with more high quality stills from season two.

Added another fortnight's worth of Strictly Come Dancing performance pictures to the Alesha Dixon, Camilla Dallerup, Flavia Cacace, Kate Garraway, Kelly Brook, Letitia Dean, Matt Di Angelo, Nicole Cutler, Ola Jordan and Penny Lancaster-Stewart pages.

Fred Armisen’s Dear John Letter

November 30th, 2007 by admin

200px-fred_armisen_snl.jpgjdubs.jpg

SNL cast member and former rock drummer Fred Armisen tells Paper Thin Walls the story of how he survived his awkward high school years: by corresponding with none other than filthy film director John Waters.

I heard this movie director on the radio named John Waters, who was talking about his book called Shock Value. It was about how he wanted to shock the world. That's what he wanted to do to make a living. I went out and I bought his book. I never read, but that was one book I read all the way through. I wanted to be someone like him.

I got his address, and I wrote him a fan letter. He was called "the Prince Of Puke," so in [my letter] I said, "Dear John, I want to take over your puke-dom, I want to be the next Prince Of Puke and I want to shock people." He wrote me back! I was 15 years old, and I couldn't believe it. He gave me advice. We sent each other postcards. I had this pen-pal relationship with John Waters.

One day I'm watching the David Letterman show. John Waters was the guest. David Letterman said, "You must get some strange mail." And then John Waters told this story about a kid named Fred that wrote to him. I was so freaked out, I just screamed! I couldn't believe he was talking about me on TV. Ever since then he's written to me. He's sent me Christmas cards. I still get mail from him.

So, Fred Armisen, tell us a story [Paper Thin Walls via Pop Candy]
