VENEZA 2007: adivinhem quem está lá, quem?

August 31st, 2007 by admin

Concordo.

[Imaginei que começaria logo hotter than never].
Putz, what a moron!.
Heath Ledger é um dos seis atores no papel de Bob Dylan em 'I´m Not There", ("I'm not There" (Todd Haynes, EUA) - concorrendo.

SLEUTH

Larry Birkhead Pulls Plug on OK! Magazine

August 31st, 2007 by admin

corner-stork-baby-gifts.jpg

Mr. Chris from Corner Stork Baby Gifts reporting some new baby news for you. It appears that according to TMZ.com, that Larry Birkhead puled the exclusive deal he had with OK! Magazine and gave the rights to Us magazine instead.

OK! Magazine was supposed to get exclusive shots from Dannielynn first birthday photo shoot. But instead, OK! indicated that it was not doing the Larry Birkheadshoot because it had moral issues with Larry Birkhead and didn't want to support him. Larry says that OK! is just irritated because he went to Us Magazine instead. But the exclusive deal with OK! magazine was for a whopping $1.7 million dollars. I mean, that's a couple mortgage payments, isn't it? He also reported that the OK! reporter sent him an email and indicated that she would do a nasty story about him if he went to the competing magazine. Larry said he shot back to OK! by telling the Editor via email that, "I was just threatened via email by (the reporter) that OK! would do a negative story on me if I did any stories with any other mags. Ridiculous!!! I am not sure what planet she's on but I am not going to be threatened. She blew it!"

ok-larry.jpgOK!'s Editor In Chief says that that never happened, but did respond to Larry's email saying, "You know how well we've treated you ... from free suits to getting a singer for your party ... to be honest, we are upset that you've turned on us."

Obviously they were also not happy when he started appearing on the cover of Us magazine and other competing outlets. They indicate they had a four part deal with Larry, but Larry says the deal was only for the birthday pictures and nothing more. This seems like an argument that could be fixed by showing the signed agreements. If there were any to begin with. I mean let's be honest here. Larry doesn't have any decent income to speak of, does he? He was essentially Anna Nicole's man-toy, right? I mean, he's no Cato Caitlin or anything.

Personalized baby gift albumWhatever the case may be, we hope these exclusive photos are being well protected. Cato, I mean, Larry should head over to Corner Stork and pick up these lovely pink shoe photo albums to document Dannielynn's first birthday celebration. Maybe his fans can pick one up as a unique baby gift for him and even make it a personalized baby gift for that matter. Good luck to Larry and parenthood. We're sure you love her dearly, but speaking from experience raising little girls, you ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until she gets hold of Mommy's videos.

like fashion week could get better …

August 31st, 2007 by admin

http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Profiles/20060912/244.sevigny.chloe.091906.jpgWe are all aware of my professed love for Cloe Sevigny. So you can guess I an super excited about this show on Sept. 10:

The former Imitation of Christ creative director is dusting off her design skills with a collection for new label, Opening Ceremony. The hip Manhattan boutique is branching out with its own-name collection - set to debut at next month's New York Fashion Week - and Sevigny has reportedly been working closely with the store's founder, Humberto Leon, and "a few friends" to get the collection spot on in time for its September 10 showcase, according to WWD. Although Sevigny's camp haven't let slip what we can expect from the line, our money's on an accomplished collection of quirky, one-off and vintage-inspired pieces.

Mecke Rejects Daly’s Endorsement

August 31st, 2007 by admin

Meet the latest Regressive hope, same as the old dope.

According to Chris Daly, "Quintin Mecke is not just talk. He's been working on the important issues facing San Francisco for years. For those concerned about public safety, neighborhood protections, and affordable housing, Quintin Mecke is our best choice for Mayor."

'Cause I've got friends in low places
Where Chris Daly drowns
And endorsements chase the votes away

- Garth Brooks

At which point Mecke, a recent entry into the Mayor's race, should have joined ranks distancing himself from blacklisted board member dissident Chris Daly by respectfully declining the endorsement and establishing himself as a genuine agent of change.

Instead, Mecke took a road less traveled by, alienating everyone who's anyone with an alliance to nowhere. Acknowledging more of the same translates into guilt by association.

In other words, a vote for Mecke is a vote for crack addicts breaking into our cars and living on our sidewalks. Their blight is our plight while the typical Regressive homeopathic wizardry continues to treat without cure.

"I am proud to have the endorsement of Chris Daly. His early endorsement sends a strong message to San Franciscans who are hungry for change. San Francisco can do better, and it is time to hold Gavin Newsom accountable for his failures in governing this city."

Fraud! Rather, it’s time for the mayor to exert his political clout, make good to this electorate and win over his next delivering old-fashioned medicine - a cop on every corner. I'm for helping those who want help and all for locking away the rest.

This is where Chris Daly and I diverge. And, this is where Menke and Daly meet up for another four year wait.

Usher & Tameka Offical Wedding Planned

August 31st, 2007 by admin

Say What? I thought Usher and the former Ms Tameka Foster wedded in the attorney's office. Well according to UsWeekly,   they are planning an official wedding ceremony this weekend in Atlanta.

Usher and Tameka Foster

Usher and his wife Tameka Foster arrive at the opening of Jermaine Dupri's Studio 72 in Tucker, Georgia on August 29, 2007.
Rick Diamond/WireImage.com

The rumored event will be more in line with the couple's original plans for a ceremony and celeb-filled celebration. That gathering at the Hamptons home of record exec L.A. Reid was canceled at the last minute on July 28 in favor of a small private gathering days later on August 3. Guests are rumored to include Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson, Ashanti, and Diddy.

We hear that Raymond, 28, and Foster, 36, are holding the party in Atlanta so friends and family will be able to attend easily. SOURCE: US Weekly

Okay, y'all is it really ncecessary to attempt a 3rd wedding. The 1st wedding didn't happen, the 2nd wedding happened in an attorney's office...enough already.

Why not have a Labor Day weekend party/celebration party? Why another wedding?  I'm all for love and all, but come on now. Besides, some of y'all know how I feel about the whole thing (Usher Do NOT Wed), but hey if it works for them, who am I to say anything.

P.S. - For someone who supposedly had a pregnancy scare (one of the rumors why the 1st wedding didn't take place), Ms. Tameka is always out at some event. The average pregnant woman would be relaxing at home...maybe not on complete bed rest; but she wouldn't be out galloping at all these events either.
